When will The Wall That Heals return to the San Diego County area?
The Wall That Heals selects the cities they will be visiting each year, based on the applications they receive via their website. Once they've visited a city, in order to reach as many people as possible throughout our Nation, they generally don't return to a city for about 4 years. If you'd like to apply for your city to be considered, and would like to see the requirements for application, click HERE.
Where can I share my photos?
The Wall That Heals is a breathtaking sight and thousands of people took many photos. If you have some particularly good ones that you'd like to us to consider adding to our website, please email them to [email protected] along with the photo credit you'd like to accompany them.
How many people attended The Wall That Heals El Cajon?
Despite San Diego County tour stops for The Wall That Heals typically having a low visitor turnout, ours was different in El Cajon. The national average of visitors during the 2023 tour (last year) was about 7,000 visitors. VVMF said the two ends of the spectrum last season was one stop that had around 700 visitors, and another that had 17,000 visitors.
The Wall That Heals - El Cajon 2024 saw a visitor count of almost TEN THOUSAND people. Those people included a Medal of Honor recipient, a Silver Star recipient, a US Congressman, the Mayor of El Cajon, and many, many Vietnam Veterans, some of whom flew in from other states to be a part of our event in El Cajon.
